Art Everyday Month: Day 10: Face Sketch #aedm

I was supposed to post it earlier however, due the Blackout here in Brazil it wasnt possible.

Also, I know I REALLY need to catch up on the others aedm's posts (lots of amazing artworks)

Okay, back to this entry, here it 2 very lazy face sketches. They are actually an exercise; a way to practice (drawing) faces.

Art Everyday Month Day 9: Berlin #aedm (Pics and Moleskine)

Everybody knows that November 9 is a very important date. Maybe the youngers cant really understand the deep meaning of what happened twenty years ago but even them know that wall's fall changed the world. I was pretty young then and somethings I quite not understood but I could feel. I could feel the emotion. All my family (my mum's side) is from Germany and I will never forget how my grandfather's eyes shined(sp?) in happiness.

Last September (to early October) I traveled to Europe. Germany (and some other countries). I am (still!) editing the (zillions of!) photos, separating things (hotel keys, folders, sketches, etc...)to , finally make/do (sp?) a scrapbook.

So, Today I drew this sketch (watercolors) of the wall (Alexanderplatz on back), having as model the pic I took there. The Brandenburg Gate sketch I made there.

Art Everyday Month Day 8: Embu das Artes #aedm

Today I visited a small town called Embu das Artes (in English, ‘Embu of Arts’. No, I don’t know what ‘Embu’ means. It’s an Indian word…).

And as you have noticed by the city’s name: everything in the city is about art; more specifically handmade/handcraft art. Although it’s a well-known city here (there you can see tourists from several parts of the World) and not so far of (sp?) my own city (about 95 km/ 59 miles) this was my first time there and I can say I liked :) It was a whole day immersed in art; a very way to spend a Sunday.
