IMT: Sereia (Child Art on Moleskine:)

ETA I cant post a comment @ IMT site because they dont accept comments from my country. WTF?! WTF?! I am SO pissed!


This last weekend I saw this little Moleskine- Van Gogh Limited special and I simply couldn’t NOT buy it. Okay, it was way too expensive (I still think Moleskines are too expensive for a notebook-no matter how special they are.
Anyways, I bought it- and I am happy (even if a bit more poor) LOL.





So this is my first "art" on it- since I think it is looking a little like a child drawing…why not submit it to Inspire Me Thursday? :P



I feel I am making no sense at all. :)

Illustration Friday: "Adapt"

For this week IF. The prompt is Adapt. I thought about how sometimes in life we need to adapt to new realities, new *conditions* but this doesnt mean that we have to *abandon* our values, our *background*.

Este desenho (sketch) é para o Illustartion Friday desta semana. O prompt era *Adapt* (Adaptar). Para este *prompt* eu pensei como as vezes nós precisamos nos adaptar a novas realidades, novas *condições*- mas isto não significa que temos que abandonar nossos valores, nosso passado.

Vik Muniz amazing artworks

This isnt exactly an art post (though, I guess I can call it an *Art Rec Post*) but it something I'd like to share with you.

A few weeks ago I went to MASP (São Paulo Museum of Art) to see an exposition of Vik Muniz works.
Wow.
His work is amazing. He is a Brazilian artist who lives in NY for about 20 years (I think) and his art was already exhibited (sp?) in lots of places around the world.
He makes art from/of everything. No matter if it is sugar, chocolate, or garbage.
You might recognize some of works:

My *Sketching my Region* Project: Marco Padrão

The WIP:









This is part of a personal project. I am trying to do make drawings/sketches of places of/in the region I live. This is the first drawing. It's the 'Marco Padrão' (Landmark Standard) (Gonxaguinha Beach, São Vicente, SP, Brazil).
For this one I used markers, pen, and colored pencils.

Isto é parte de um rojeto pessoal meu. Estou fazendo (tentando, pelo menos!) desenhos (*sketches*) da minha região. Este é o meu primeiro desenho (não sei porquê mas a palavra *sketch* me parece muito melhor do que *desenho* Pelo menos neste caso. ..) .
É o Marco Padrão em São Vicente, litoral de São Paulo. Ah, o Marco Padrão fica na praia do Gonzaguinha:P
Eu usei canetinha, caneta preta e lápis de cor.
